2016 Honda Accord vs. 2016 Honda Civic
Glendale, Mequon, and Milwaukee drivers have everything behind the wheel of the 2016 Honda Accord, and the 2016 Honda Civic! Both are available as sedan, coupe, and hybrid editions, and offer plenty of appeal. Between great price and mileage ranges, turbocharged performance, and terrific style and technological specs, Honda gives families and road enthusiasts the perfect car for every need. A few differences, however, helps when deciding which is the right choice for you. Let’s take a closer look:
Whether you’re taking a short drive through the city or enduring the highway traffic on your way home from work, both of these models offer impressive fuel efficiency, saving you money and keeping you on the road. Depending on transmission, the 2016 Honda Accord trims have an EPA-estimated city, highway, and combined mpg ranging from 23/34/27 to 27/37/31.* The 2016 Honda Civic trim ranges are just as nice, between 27/40/31 and 31/42/35.**
A smooth ride is always at hand with both vehicles. The Honda Accord has three powerful engines, with a 185-hp 2.4L with 181 lb. ft. torque for the LX, EX, and EX-L, a 189-hp 2.4L with 182 lb. ft. torque for the Sport, and a 278-hp 3.5L with 252 lb. ft. torque for the V6 and Touring. Transmission options vary, between six-speed automatic or manual, and CVT with paddle shifters or Sport mode. All trims though, have Active Noise Cancellation™ and Vehicle Stability Assist™ with Traction Control.
The Honda Civic has smaller yet no less potent engines, with a 158-hp 2.0L with 138 lb. ft. torque, and a 174-hp 1.5L with 162 lb. ft. torque, depending upon trims. Six-speed manual and CVT powers up everything, and support comes from hill start assist and Eco Assist™, which is also featured in the Accord.
