David is the majority owner of David Hobbs Honda. In a 31-year driving career he raced in almost every imaginable category: endurance sports racers, touring cars, Formula 1, Formula 5000, Indycars, IMSA, Trans-Am, Can-Am and even NASCAR. He’s formerly an Analyst of F1 racing for NBC, Color Commentator and Host for Speed Channel.
David’s first race was in 1959 driving his mother’s Morris Oxford, and he turned professional in 1964. He raced extensively world wide for over 30 years, and is the only Honda factory sponsored Formula 1 driver to own a Honda dealership anywhere in the world! His last race driven was the Fast Masters Championship in 1993, placing 4th overall. In 2009, David was inducted into the Motorsports Hall of Fame.
